1. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
To enroll in the three-year Degree Programme in Languages, Literatures and Intercultural Studies (open access), applicants must possess:
The programme has no restricted access. Nevertheless, an adequate initial preparation is required. For each study track, the knowledge deemed essential for enrollment and successful participation in the programme is specified. This preparation is assessed through a self-assessment test, which is mandatory but not binding for enrollment.
The test is administered through TOLC.
2. TOLC
The Notice for "Entrance Knowledge Assessment of the School of Humanities and Education for Open-Access First-Cycle Degree Programmes – Academic Year 2025/2026” establishes the rules adopted by the School of Humanities and Education for verifying the knowledge required for admission to its non-restricted Bachelor’s degree programmes.
A minimum threshold score is defined as follows:
If the total score is below 22 out of 50 points, and/or the score in the “Reading comprehension and Italian language” section is below 12 out of 30 points, the test is considered not passed, and Additional Learning Requirements (OFA) are assigned (Art. 2).
3. OBBLIGHI FORMATIVI AGGIUNTIVI (OFA)
Students who do not pass the entrance self-assessment test are required to complete the remedial activities designed to fulfil the Obblighi formativi aggiuntivi (OFA).
Failure to complete the OFA requirements results in the inability to sit degree examinations.
4. ADMISSION TO INTERNATIONAL CURRICULA
Admission to the international curricula in Italian–German Bilateral Studies and Italian–Hungarian Bilateral Studies, established through agreements with the Universities of Bonn, Budapest ELTE, and Debrecen, is subject to the successful completion of a selection interview, as specified in the relevant announcement published on the School’s website.
